Sleeping On The Job

If you’re the average hard working individual, then you go to work every morning, come back in the evening and get tired in the process of doing so. Of course, the next item on your list is to get some sleep, but what if, you feel like sleeping while you are at work? Its not right to go to sleep at work but you figure that if you can get away with it then you’re golden. The only thing that keeps you from sleeping is the fear of getting caught sleeping. The only option at that point is to come up with a good excuse. I’m no expert, but I compiled a list of the Top 10 Excuses for Getting Caught Sleeping At Work:

10. This is just a 15 minute power-nap like they raved about in the last management course you sent me to.

9. Damn! Why did you interrupt me? I had almost figured out a solution to our biggest problem.

8. I was testing the keyboard for drool resistance.

7. This is one of the seven habits of highly effective people!

6. Whew! Guess I left the top off the dry erase marker!

5. This is in exchange for the six hours last night when I dreamed about work!

4. It worked well for Reagan, didn’t it?

3. Wasn’t sleeping. Was trying to pick up contact lens without hands.

2. They told me at the blood bank this might happen.

1. It’s okay… I’m still billing the client.

There you go! Now the next time you feel like sleeping on the job, you won’t feel so stupid about getting caught…or at least you wont think you feel stupid!
