Blogging In Public

May 30th, 2008 | 2 Comments | Posted in Blog

So my buddy Nick from RomanDock has a fantastic post where he has picked some bloggers and has given them a topic that he wants to see them blog about. The topics are really interesting and I have “blogging in public” as my topic.

I have always thought about blogging in public and have always wondered how that would work out. I know that sometimes I have to blog when I am not at my workstation and that always feels weird for me because my workstation is where I have done most of my blogging. Just this morning, I had written a post from someone else’s house and i dont feel as creative but I am sure that blogging in public could be fun if you get creative. Here are some of the ways that I can see someone blogging

1) NSFW – (not safe for work) – I know some people who blog from work and thats definitely not safe for work (and yes, I know thats not the traditional way that most people say NSFW but it works!). Either way, I dont think the boss would be too happy about it but if you do it before you actually start work then I dont think theres anything too wrong with that.

2) Coffee Shop – I know that this is the most popular location for most bloggers and I know that Justine loves to blog while shes at the coffee shop but I know I wouldnt mind blogging at the coffee shop either.

3) Park – I have seen some people who sit near the lake at a park and use their computer for work and I think that would be a relaxing environment to do some blogging in. I have written one blog post where I sat by a lake and it was really great!

4) Gym – There are some body builders that actually write blog posts while they are at the gym. They usually have a video feed to go along with it but I know that some of them do that. I think that would be interesting although some people at my gym would find it odd that I brought a laptop with me!

I really couldnt think of anywhere else that I would try blogging and even then I would kind of feel out of place because I wouldn’t be at my desk. Plus as many of you know, I really dont like using a laptop but I do have a handheld that I use sometimes and although its a little slow it gets the job done. Well, Nick, I hope that was a good post as I really enjoyed writing it. Thanks again for the chance and if some of the other bloggers don’t pick any of their topics then Ill be sure to pick some later!

I also wanted to call attention to some of the other bloggers that Nick had highlighted and wanted to re-post his list so that you guys can blog about the topics he has picked

Sales Leads For Less!

May 30th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in General

Do you have a new product or software that you want to promote but you dont know who to contact or where you can get sales leads from? Well, SalesProspects.com has quite a few ways that you can do so as they are the low cost direct marketing list and mailing list providers. They have consumer sales leads of over 200 million consumers – thats about 2/3 of the United States population. They also have business calling lists, mortgage calling lists and mailing lists. They even have targeted marketing lists of home owners, auto dialers and telemarketing lists.

They have a 1-800 number that you can use and remember that your minimum order is for 2500 records. The lists are anywhere from 90-95% accurate depending on the type of list you choose and they are delivered within 24-48 hours. With the help of these lists at their low prices you are able to maximize your profits. The more customers that you are able to convert into sales the higher your return on investment is. They have offices in New York and Los Angeles and they have over 30 years of combined marketing experience. I, personally, have never had the need for these lists but if I had a product that I needed to get out there then I would look into every possible way of doing so and these lists might just be your answer so give it a try!

Fathers Day Gifts
Fathers Day Gifts can be found everywhere but there are only a few places where you can find great quality fathers day gifts and one place to do so is to check out interflora. They have a great collection of excellent fathers day gifts that are not only thoughtful but very unique. Interflorida is your one-stop-shop for Fathers Day Presents and you can find everything from flowers to gift hampers to even wine all on one website, so why go anywhere else? I highly recommend them and you should definitely check it out for all of your Fathers Day Gifts!

Eat Healthy, Live Healthy
As the world changes, people are becoming more conscious about what they put into their bodies. If you’re like me, you want to make sure that you eat all natural foods. One way I do that is by eating organic foods and you can too if you buy your organic vegetables, fruit, meat and more from Abel & Cole. You can get the best organic food delivered to your door when you want it.

Other Fathers Day Gifts
Fathers Day is coming shortly in June and I am sure that many of you are wondering what you should be doing for your dad. Now, I am not an expert in this matter nor can I suggest any fantastic ideas but 1800 Flowers is a great website in case you need a great gift for your dad. They are a well known website and have been established for quite a long time.

On a daily basis you can send flowers, teddy bears and the like but for Fathers Day, 1800 Flowers takes it a step further. They offer special Father’s Day Gift items such as flowers in a beer mug, golf and other sport themed baskets among others. They also have combos where you can send flowers, candy and other snacks in one package. Their prices range from $30 all the way up over $100 for most items however if you want to do something a little special, they can arrange for that too. They have gifts for dad in the shape of a motorcycle, wine packages, cheese baskets as well as several different types of combination gifts. Their selection also includes tulips, gift baskets, luxury gifts and plants.

They even have a gift guide in case you are a bit lost on what you may want to give to your dad. Aside from their current Fathers Day selections, they offer gifts and specialty items for all occasions. Their variety in gift items is what makes 1800 Flowers special and several of their items are brand names, so you know you are getting some of the best quality gifts out there. They also have prices ranges to suit all kinds of budgets so this Valentines season, definitely check out 1800 Flowers and you won’t be disappointed!

New Online Community!

May 30th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Blog, Other Reviews

So theres Facebook, Myspace and even MyBlogLog for bloggers but now there is a new website called 3GB Communities where you can meet new friends, connect with old friends and share photo albums, join groups, create blogs and listen to music. The website has over 1000 members so far and seems to be picking up. The set up of the website in my opinion is a little odd but I am sure that they are in the beta or development phase so things will pick up soon enough. The design is nice and simple and I give them a thumbs up for that. The sign up process did not take but 5 minutes and the user interface is very easy to use and navigate. Each member has a profile similar to facebook where you can write messages and exchange notes. I think the concept may be old but 3GB is trying to put a new twist on it. I really wish them luck with the direction they plan on taking the website in. Although Facebook and MySpace are highly popular, 3GB may be an upcoming community that we will see more about in the future. If youre interested please join 3gb community www.3gb.biz

Airplane Customer Service!

So we have all seen how the rising fuel prices are causing airline ticket prices to rise. Not only that, but airlines are charging you for your luggage and some are even taking away the horrible peanuts you never really wanted in the first place. The result is that you are paying more and getting less. Here is a parody video you will enjoy.
