Is Niche A Big Issue?
Jun 12th
So lately I’ve noticed that a lot of the old Make Money Online niche blogs are either non-existent, taking a hiatus (like I was) or have switched niches. I dont seem to understand what the concept is but I believe that it has to do with a few big blogs dominating the competition and making it really hard for the small blogs with good content to move up. So heres a few things to considering if you’re just starting out:
1) Your Niche Matters – readers will decide to read your blog if you have a good topic that can attract a lot of readers. So lets say you like to talk about two things that you do very well, mowing the lawn or working on cars. There is a bigger market for blogging about cars and that would be the better pick. Pick a niche that will appeal to a bigger audience.
2) Love Your Niche – If you don’t feel strongly about the niche of your blog then you’re not being honest with your readers. If I really like technology but I start up a blog about politics then I’m really not showing my readers a subject matter that I am passionate about. Thats one of the biggest reason I have stuck around with my niche for so long regardless of the ups and downs.
3) Be Yourself – This is the biggest personal aspect of your blogging that can affect your niche. You have to say what you feel and say it the way you would normally say it. This adds a personal touch and shows your reader your enthusiasm about the topic and it just works better for interacting with your audience.
So those are my 3 big things that I can think of that are some things to think about when coming up with ideas for your blog niche. For those of you who are just starting up and need some help, dont be hesitant to ask me for help by emailing me. Hope you guys liked the post! Have a great weekend!
Daily Photo: Having An Emergency?
Jun 10th
So, I was walking around the University one afternoon when I came across an Emergency Phone. To my surprise there was a note attached to it that made this a hilarious incident. Considering the fact that there can be flooding or a fire an emergency phone is a necessity but for some odd reason, I was a bit surprised, Can you guess why?

Verdict: Basically, if I’m ever stuck and something horrible happens…I’m screwed!
Do You Blog From Your Cell Phone?
Jun 9th

Well, Today as I watched the new iPhone being unveiled and the Typepad mobile app for it, I wondered whether WordPress would have an iPhone application. After that I thought about it, does anyone actually use their cell phone to blog? I personally blog from a handheld or PDA on some occasions but mainly I sit at my desktop. Here are what I find are some challenges of blogging on your cell phone:
1) Small Keyboard : I mean, unless you have slender and tiny fingers that wouldn’t give you cramps but if you’ve got a regular sized hand then long posts can definitely take a while to type and may contain errors
2) Smaller Screen : Smaller screen means that you will have to scroll around quite a bit if your screen doesn’t auto-adjust a web page. You may also get frustrated with not being able to look through your entire post on one page.
3) Pictures : If you wanted to attach a picture or create a picture to add to your blog post then it may get hard to do so when you only have access to your phone’s memory.
Well, Just wondering, I have my desktop which is what I use most often but then I use my PDA’s if I dont have my desktop near me. Do any of you use your cell phone to blog and if so, what kind of cell phone?

So, Ive decided to start posting an interesting photo every once in a while that I get from driving to school or something interesting. Here is a picture of a truck that I saw on the highway that didnt look right to me. It looks like its been bent in the middle. Can you tell what the problem is? Have a look!

Let me know what you think about this idea regarding posting an interesting image from daily life. Does it bring more life to the blog or is it not interesting?
Baby Shower Gifts!
Jun 5th
Know anyone that is having a baby? Well, then youre probably going to want to shop around for baby shower gifts. The Discount Kid Store is a leading supplier of all mother and child needs. You can get anything from diaper bags, strollers, gift baskets to bed sheets and clothing for the baby. They offer brand name items such as Fisher Price, Barbie, Hotweels and Leap Frog.
Their website is very well designed and the color scheme is quite friendly on the eyes. The store is set up to be user friendly with prices showing and images for each of the items. They have everything from cribs, beds to chairs and pedal bikes and electric vehicles. Purchasing an item is easy as well as they accept Google Checkout, BillMeLater, Payapl and the major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. The website seems fairly new but it has been designed quite well.
I have no personal exprience in purchasing baby products so I dont know if the toys or products are priced at a discount however the prices do seem reasonably fair to me. So, if youre looking for gifts and want the convenience of shopping online and you know someone having a baby or you have to find a gift for a friend who is expecting, then the Discount Kid Store may be a good choice as your one stop shop for baby toys and gifts!
