Already Hosting For You!
Getting good hosting now has become somewhat of an issue specially because most of the appeal nowdays with a good web hosting company is the lower price and maybe thats what your looking for. The $9.94 a year deals with a free domain sound nice and all but really, how good is the customer service and basically the hosting service that youre getting?
I have been with 1&1 for a while and even though lots of people express problems with them, I don’t seem to find an issue. I have 4 domains hosted with them and a home business hosting plan and haven’t had issues at all. They’ve handled all types of traffic for me. But, what if you dont have a host and only want the best hosting service? at the best comparable rates? Well, AlreadyHosting.com is a website that I’ve talked about before but they provide you just that. They tell you how good a host is, they rate them, tell you about their service and even tell you the price. So you can go to one website and get all that information, for free.
They even have coupons available so if you find a hosting provider you like, you can search for coupons to increase your savings more. To give you an idea, on my first year of hosting, I saved 50% with the use of a coupon. They even have a list of free WordPress themes and domains that support WordPress if you’re looking to start up a blog. They even have hosts separated out by category – for example, best cheap hosting, but hosts for chuch’s, e-commerce, green hosting, etc.
When I started hunting for my host back in 2006, I went to a website similar to AlreadyHosting.com and although most people don’t care for what such websites say, they even incorporate actual user reviews and everyone knows that youre much quicker in writing a bad review, than a good one. So, why not hear from actual customers themselves? The choice is yours!

I am surprised that you use 1&1 for hosting. I was recently looking for a host for one of my websites and I checked out the reviews on 1&1. They were not favorable to say the least. When I look for a web host, I don’t care so much about customer service and extra features. I am mostly looking at price combined with reliability. The problem with many cheap web hosts is that they are not reliable enough. Usually the cheaper the web host, the more likely you are to be hosted on the same server as shady websites. Personally I’d rather pay a little extra to distance myself from sites like that.

My http://www.dvdcatalyst.com domain was registered through them, and guess what? They figured the google ranking was high enough for them, so they STOLE it, right at the point it was getting a lot of exposure. The domain was a month away from expiration, but was set to autorenew with a valid creditcard. They claimed it was some server error on their part, and with some additional charges they would speed up the process.
SEDO, which put up the advertising page it has on it now is directly connected to 1&1, as well as the domcollect company offering the domain name for sale for $4500
I’m not the only one who experienced this.

Great post! I can’t agree with some comments. It’s with almost every hosting, some people say it’s not good, some say it’s excellent. 1&1 for me was great before I purchased my dedicated server. I used a lot of hosting co’s – Blue Host, Just Host, 1&1 , I can’t say there is a huge difference.
