So today I received an email from Coolio Jones who owns a blog called My New Hustle where he recently talked about the contest that Ashwin Khanna had running. If you don’t recall, this is the same competition that was giving away $2500 in cash and being a start up blog nobody believed it. After Ashwin tried to assure everything was legit, he actually got so many entries that his Technorati was boosted to 8k within a few weeks. Nice huh? Well, not really. Ashwin made a really big mistake. Such a big mistake that it is going to cost him.

He awarded the winner on his blog and turns out that the blog the prize was awarded to wreaks of dishonesty. Ashwin seems to have created the blog himself and created a post a day before his own contest ended. Surprising thing was, that the blog only had one post on it. You guessed it, the entry into the contest. Since the blog that won is a WordPress based blog, nobody can verify whether Ashwin owns it but there is something definitely fishy here. I was so disappointed in the whole event, that I am not even going to post a link to Ashwin’s blog here, nor am I going to refer to him in the future.

I call upon the blogosphere to unite and know that if someone is going to scam us, then they don’t deserve a second chance. If you entered the contest, I urge you to boycott Ashwin Khanna and remove the post or edit the post and remove his linkbacks and proceed to ping Technorati by going here. I didn’t enter the contest, but once again, scamming someone for their time is not acceptable! Thanks again to Coolio for the email! Check out his post to get details about the contest and links to Ashwin’s blog.

Update [August 23rd] – A lot of people asked me for Ashwin Khanna’s website and here it is http://www.ashwinkhanna.com . I will not be linking to the website but you are welcome to copy paste it. Also, if you want to check out a REAL contest with a GREAT prize you can check out my FlippingRich.com T-shirt Giveaway Contest or you can browse over to Prija’s 24 inch LCD Giveaway Contest. If in case that does happen, I will call out the blogger with the black heart! Thanks again for reading!
