Did My PR Get Nuked?
Thanks to BetShopBoy for noticing this but apparently the PR of my site is now down to zero! Thats right, Google decided that for some odd reason I didn’t even deserve the PR 2 that I had received so now they have taken it down a few notches. I find it hard to believe how this happens specially to a blog like mine which has been so immensely popular until lately due to having inconsistent posting. Although, the inconsistent posting is soon about to change, I think Google needs to figure out once and for all, what they plan on doing with PR. I decided to do a little research on PR checker sites (that were working) and the results seemed a little out of line. Heres what I came across:

What I really can’t understand is how is my PR showing 4 when I can’t seem to pull up any record of it through my toolbar at the bottom. I truly think its a mistake that my PR was dropped down to a zero anyway or atleast I hope its a mistake but maybe someone else has seen this on their blog. If you have noticed this going on, let me know through the comments. I’m just wondering if I am the only one in the sinking ship! Anyway, hope you guys have a great Thanksgiving. Stay tuned for my post coming up soon!

Hey mate, sorry to hear about the PR hit.
This might help explain it though, looking at the ReviewMe and PPP links.

Obviously the latest round of PR nuking only applies to the toolbar PR, as most datacentres are still reporting the actual PR.
PageRank is displaying very erratic behavior and you are not alone in suffering from the whims of this new web bully.
It just goes to show PR is totally irrelevant to a blog’s actual influence and rankings.
“Although, the inconsistent posting is soon about to change….”, something special up your sleeves?
haha that definitely weird!
The toolbar PR hits are a slap on the hand to sites doing things Google would like to discourage. It doesn’t seem to have affected their actual PR or traffic, which makes the slap a bit pointless.
Anyway, as Betshopboy said, PR these days is pretty much irrelevant.
Eventually I’d expect Google to penalize sizes doing paid posts and link exchanges in search engine results, which will be far more serious.
that really sucks man.. i hope it picks up.
Basically, it looks like they are still updating the PRs for many of the blogs and websites. PR of one of my blogs changed day before yesterday. They are still confused to decide what to do with Enkay finally :).
prob 99% why is bc you are using TLA. PPP doesn’t help either
Danielle, interestingly I neither use TLA there nor PPP. Simply because it’s a blogspot blog so TLA script does not fit in there and it’s technical blog so PPP reviews neither.
and you are still a PR4
