Happy New Year
Happy New Year everyone. I know I’m a day late but I actually had my computer kill itself yesterday so now I don’t have a desktop and that means no computer with the processing power to use photoshop or anything like that. For now, I’m using my netbook and thats good for blogging but imaging and video is not really something it can handle. I know that ShoeMoney talked about how much he loved Intel and got himself a new computer but maybe Intel will like to hear me out regarding my dilemma.
So, like ShoeMoney, I’m a huge fan of Intel. I mean, if I could I’d wear a shirt that said Intel inside. The idea is that everything Ive had is Intel and now that my computer is dead, I could really use a little help from Intel 
The only concern is that I hope they’re reading my blog or that they realize how I’ve used Intel for almost 10 years now. Yeah, I was an early adopter:) So, Intel if you’re out there reading, please contact me because I’d really appreciate it. Now I’m not asking for the monitors or anything of that sort, don’t get me wrong, just a little help with the tower – you know the motherboard and stuff!
Anyway, getting back to the subject at hand, aside from my dead computer, I’m glad to have some way to update my blog. My contest ended on the 31st and the results will be out on Monday which is the 5th. There were quite entries and all of them are good so Thank you to those who took part in the contest. I wonder who wins?
I also have a few interesting posts lined up that require some images so that might have to go on hold until I figure out my computer situation. Sadly, this will set me back for quite a while because I dont really have a replacement and ofcourse, they’re expensive. Therefore, I had my plea to Intel to try and help me out, if possible. But either way, I should try and get the images in my post sooner or later.
Hopefully all of you guys had a great New Year. My New Years eve was pretty good except to wake up in the morning to a blue screen but thats besides the point. I know that 2009 will bring with it more interesting things for Enkay Blog. I go back to school January 5th but Ill be posting more because of how my classes are and the timings they’re held at. I will have a post tomorrow about my plans for 2009 and where I see Enkay Blog in 2009. Hope you guys are having a great day. Happy Friday and Happy New Year!

Yeah, well I meant for my age. I think I was 10 or 11 when I got my first computer and it was an Intel.

Hopefully Intel will help you out with your new computer. I myself just go buy what I want and its usually not to expensive. Usually under $2k anyways.. lol I know o=it sounds like lots but not really.
Maybe see if someone will donate an old one too you..
Thanks Bruno. I’m basically just looking for a barebones so that I can transfer over my components but yeah the processor is the most expensive part of it. I’m hoping for the best but Thanks for your message!
I’d suggest checking Tiger or Newegg for mobo/processor combos that you could then just plug in to your existing case and other parts…might be cheaper than you think.
I totally sympathize though, I have a power supply that recently went out and I still need to fix, luckily I have other computers available so it’s not super urgent. Perhaps when school starts up again you can spend some time in a computer lab and get some stuff done until you can get yours fixed.
Yeah, I’m just going to use my laptop when Im at home so I’m using that instead but the screen size becomes an issue with photo editing and stuff.
I would actually put in a new motherboard myself but I actually have to buy mine from Dell just because of the way the system is built. I went to a few electronic warehouses and they said that I need to call Dell directly to buy the motherboard so yeah. We’ll see. I have alternatives in the meanwhile so ill make it work as long as I can

Well happy new year man! That does suck about losing a machine…but you’ll bounce back. Maybe you’ll come through with a nice intel i7!!!
