InfoLinks Beats Out Kontera
I have always used Kontera since I started blogging but if you look back at my old blog birthdays, you will always notice that the most I ever made from Kontera was under $5 per month for hundreds of clicks. I stuck around with Kontera regardless of that because I kept changing the way I implemented the ads. After 8 months into it, I decided to get rid of Kontera but never really was able to come up with a reason what could replace it. Either way I earned up a decent sum and forgot about replacing it when I returned to blogging in May.
It was in June that I was contacted by a representative from Infolinks guaranteeing me a higher payout percentage and I figured that since I was wanting to replace Kontera I decided to go ahead with it. This company is called InfoLinks and the day I added it was June 19th and I wrote a post about it.
I was speaking with Abhijeet from Life Is Colourful on Gmail chat as to how I wanted to test it out before I recommended it to my fellow bloggers. If you realize, there is no affiliate program and so there is no added benefit to me from recommending this to you except for the fact that I want to help you get better payouts. So anyway, I added Infolinks and just let it do its thing. After 2 weeks running Infolinks I realized that the payouts per click were higher than Kontera and I thought to myself, well thats not bad. Well, today when i logged into Infolinks, I came to realize that I have earned the same amount with InfoLinks in one month than I did with Kontera in the entire year.
Another thing I noticed when I switched from Kontera to InfoLinks was that the javascript that InfoLinks uses loads faster so it reduces page load time which was the subject of my previous post. I had improved my page load time by 25% when I had made the switch.
In Conclusion
So, What Am I Suggesting? Well, if youre unhappy with Kontera then I suggest you try out InfoLinks. They seem to have worked very well for me and you might be surprised by the results yourself. It has offered my higher payouts and better performance in terms of page load time so give it a shot and sign up and let me know what you think/decide. Thanks guys!
That’s really cool - after our chat yesterday - I have applied for Infolinks and waiting for their confirmation. I am eager to try that out.
And one more update guys, Infolinks assures better payment share if you register before 31st July. Though they have not clarified how much but must be more than regular.
Once I am approved and I try them out for some time, I would write about them as well.

I have heard of them but just don’t like the idea. Plus it looks like when you bring your mouse over it takes a bit of time to load the ads.
Yeah, it usually does take long for the ads to load but I think thats how all of them are. I dont know how that works out in the end though.

First of all I really like your blog layout! I used Kontera, but never really liked the idea of so many links in my posts. To me it looks “Cluttered” when I see a bunch of text links in the body of a post.

Thanks for stopping by and the comment about the blog layout. With InfoLinks the way I have it, it will show 90% of the links only on the first post and so it really doesn’t clutter up the other posts too but its all about preference too so depends on the blogger but thank you for your comment!

Yeah, i really didn’t do well with Kontera myself so it might be a good thing to try out whenever you feel like it!

I am not a big fan of contextual links, so it is not just that I don’t like Kontera .. I just don’t like that type of advertisement period.
Maybe my opinion change in the future..
How are the CTR with InfoLinks?
Yeah, some people just dont like contextual ads at all. Just depends on person to person. CTR has been anywhere from 1% to 10% for me. Kontera was usually .25% to 2%.

So from this I presume you can set where your ads appear.
No problem at all Gaida. Infolinks doesn’t allow you to set where your ads appear but you can definitely set it to display ads in certain sections and not in others. I believe Kontera also allows you to do that but with Kontera your ads are spread across the entire page. InfoLinks loads up ads mostly towards the top of every page so that the rest of your page will only have 1 ad per post instead of the 10 that display on the first post. I see in a few blogs that people see that they are earning more with infolinks — I’m wondering if anyone has actually been paid by them and if the results match the reporting?
Hi Mark. I have actually seen really good earnings so far. I will be receiving my first check probably by next month so I’ll be blogging about it then but so far the customer service I’ve received is excellent.
The main question is - Does it really pay ?

No offense, but “me thinks you doth *promote* too much”. If you haven’t been paid yet, you are sure are vocal and confident that you WILL be paid.
I think in the interest of full disclosure, you should explain what InfoLinks has promised you for your faithful promotion.
I had my June earnings payment from Kontera on August 3rd.
I’m not saying you won’t get paid, but it seems your relationship with InfoLinks is beyond just revshare.
Hi Luciano. I understand your concern however there is no other “payment” or anything that I’m getting from Infolinks. To be honest, I have actually been contacted by Kontera to come back to their network. The plain simple fact of the matter is that InfoLinks has treated me a lot better as a publisher. I know that Kontera pays and I have seen InfoLinks paychecks on other websites too. The reason I’ve promoted them is because with Kontera I felt I was just another publisher and wasn’t ever contacted by any real representative. With Infolinks, I have. I am not dissing Kontera because they have made it up to me, I know they have. I understand what you mean though but there isn’t any special treatment that I’m getting for my promotion. My friend over at LifeIsColourful is also using them and he would most likely recommend you to sign up for Infolinks himself.
Fair enough. It’s all just a bit strong, especially considering that I don’t see InfoLinks running on your site, or LifeIsColourful.
There is Infolinks on my entire website as well as LifeIsColourful. It looks like Kontera but it is definitely InfoLinks.
I was going to sign up for Infolinks, but their sign up form does not seem to use SSL and I think it’s a bad idea to submit one’s Social Security Number over the Internet without encryption. If they fix this, I’ll give it a shot.

I also added Infolinks to my low traffic site and I found it to be better than Kontera.
Kontera gave 8 impressions per day while Infolinks gave 45 impressions. So I have a better chance of earning as traffic grows on my site.
I have seen similar results with Infolinks - working way better than Kontera for me.
Two things Infolinks could do to improve:
1) Allow me to break out my stats my site without having to create a new account for each site. Kontera can do this.
2) Create an affiliate program.
