Luck is On My Side
It seems like I have had all the luck lately and I hope that the luck continues because everything seems to be going in my favor. It all started off by winning the 30GB Zune from Ms. Danielle’s contest and now several other things have taken place for me to believe that I have been struck by the lucky wand.
ReviewMe Acceptance
It had to take place one day or another but the day after I won Ms. Danielle contest (which was yesterday), I got an email from ReviewMe stating that I was accepted into the ReviewMe market place and that the price for a review on my blog had been set at $40, meaning that my payout was $20. I was just happy to be in the ReviewMe marketplace. Today, I logged into ReviewMe to notice that my rating had done up causing the review price to be at $60, but trying to appeal to advertisers more, I decided to reset the price of a review to $40 again mainly because I hope that more people will be interested that way.
Won the PrizeBlog 24 hour Contest
Thats right, I won ThePrizeBlog 24 hour contest the day after I won the Zune. The prize wasn’t substantial but it was well timed because I wanted to purchase a AV cable from Amazon.com for the Zune and the gift certificate provided by ThePrizeBlog helped cover the costs including shipping for the AV cable!
Sponsored Reviews Acceptance
I had sent in my Sponsored Reviews application sometime in May and I hadn’t heard back from them yet. All of a sudden this morning I get an email from them saying that I was accepted and not only that, my blog was ranked at 3 stars out of 5. Not bad for a first time right? The price for a review set by them was again $50 but I brought the price down to match the ReviewMe price to try and be fair to all advertisers. Again, the luck continues!
Text Link Ads Acceptance
Well, if you thought this couldn’t get any weirder. I had signed up for TLA the day I signed up for ReviewMe which was some time in May, just like Sponsored Reviews and I had never heard back from them until yesterday. Last night, TLA sent me an email stating that they had accepted my site into their marketplace! I really couldn’t believe it at all. It was a pretty big surprise because the last place I thought I would get an email from was TLA because I have tried submitting my blog after May and it always was turned back as rejected.
Page Rank Prediction
If you thought that was all then you are mistaken. iWebTool has a great page rank prediction tool on their website but until yesterday I wasn’t able to see what my predicted page rank was mainly because it said I didn’t have enough “back links”. Well apparently thats not the problem anymore because now it shows that my predicted page rank is a 3 with 80% accuracy! Those are some pretty good odds!
Overall, I feel that just winning the Zune has changed everything into a positive for me and I couldn’t be happier!
