Page Rank Updated
So Enkay Blog’s Page Rank has been updated and as you all know Google loves us very much so we have been awarded a page rank of 0 considering we were PR 3 before. Not really sure what the reason it but even with the old URL we were given a PR 4 during the last rounds of updates and within the day or two after that update we were penalized to 0.
I notice that many of you have new PR rankings and I congratulate you. To join me in this boat of PR 0 is my friend Mattaw from MoneyBites.com so I’m sure he is as disappointed about this as I am. I am pretty sure that I was supposed to atleast be at 3 or move up to 4. Either way, its the way things turn out and I’ll try to get it resolved but if things dont work then its time to wait for the next round of updates. Lets take a look at the PR for some of the blogs on my radar:

As you can expect, I’m a little disappointed but I want to know what you guys think of your new PR (if your PR changed). Are you content? Do you think you’re undervalued? Either way, I just want to know your thoughts about this because I’m sure that many of us have been waiting for these updates to take place.
Gah! Ed Lau and Stephen Fung have me outranked, but I have more RSS subscribers than both of them. Our overall traffic numbers are pretty similar though.
Yeah, I think all of you guys are in the same ball park regardless of PR so no worries there.

My site is now PR0 :happy:
I got upgraded to a 4, but you know my opinion of PR. I don’t really care. Whether my blog is a 0.. I will still continue to do what I am doing right now.
Yeah, this downgrade isn’t really going to stop me and honestly it doesn’t affect me in terms of traffic or anything so doesn’t bother me.

I think I am okay with it though I was expecting PR4 or PR5 this time. But I am fine with it as my Alexa is increasing day by day.. aiming to reach Top 50K now.
Your Alexa is in the 60’s right now so Top 50K is not too far away. Congrats on all the success!

Yeah. We’re in the same boat, I went from 3 to 0 though but oh well, I’m over it… I think!
Considering I think I was 3 before, this is somewhat disappointing, although I do need to work on promoting my site more, getting more links and subscribers, and posting more regularly…..
Comparing myself with some of the others on the list though, I guess I can’t complain too much
Nick, I think you’re right. Some of the other people were put down quite a bit. I still do think that you should have been at 3 or even 4. I always wondered why people didn’t come to my blog and I think the URL change has really helped me move up a little (except not in PR! LOL)
After being PR4 and getting dropped to PR2, I am now back up to PR3. I’ll say that I am content with it, indifferent might be a better word though.
I really don’t know what they’re thinking sometimes. Earlier it was said that TLA was the culprit and even after I got rid of that it didn’t affect anything. Congrats on the upgrade from 2 though!
Thanks…yeah, much of what I read indicated sites like TLA and LinkWorth had a hand in people being slapped down. The funny thing is that a knock in PR directly impacts your ability to use services such as those.
I think Google smacked me because my PR went from 3 to 0 and is still at 0
But according to their webmasters tools my pages are low->medium page rank and my site gets crawled daily and index without issues!
I was hoping for 3 at least and ended up with 2… Anyways, better than 0 I guess.

A PR of 2 is not bad. Don’t worry next time you’ll be at 3 or even 4!

I dont understand why google is selfish on links or textlink ads or whatever.
I think it will give good page rank for the people who just blog and dont sell anything on their blogs.
i am a contest blogger, and for me there is a necessity that I should provide link backs, in this case I hope i will never gain atleast Page rank1 in my life.
