Levi Strauss : #100 on the World’s Top Brands

Well, everyone knows what Levi’s is famous for and for those who dont, they are in the clothing industry and are most well known for their jeans. Levi Strauss & Co. which was founded in the 1850′s however, in 1877 the company standardized quality into the very rivets it used to strengthen their jeans. Today, Levi Strauss stands at #100 in BusinessWeek’s World’s Top 100 Brands. It ranks at 510 on the Forbes 2007 list and with an astounding 53.3% jump in revenues since 2005 Levi’s is definitely doing well. With revenues amassing a cool $2,689 million, it should be kept in mind that Levi’s is privately owned by the Haas Family who are descendants of the founder himself, Mr. Levi Strauss. The Haas family had purchased Levi Strauss for $1.45 Billion back in 1985 and declared itself debt-free in 1996. In Industry Specific rankings, Levi’s comes in fifth after companies such as Nike, VF, Liz Claiborne and the Jones Apparel Group. Since Levi’s is privately owned, there wont be any stock charts or interesting financial statistics to go with this post, however over the next posts, you will see more of the companies on the list of the World’s Top 100 Brands. Youtube : World Record Domino Effect (Video)

Here is an interesting video I found on Youtube. I did a little reading since the video is originally from Reuters and found a Reuters website with the following information.
This year an international team of 90 builders from 13 countries came up with the domino extravaganza to break the world record of 4,002,146 dominoes in Leeuwarden in The Netherlands.
Eighties pop star Kim Wilde pushed the first domino that started the chain reaction.
Hundreds of colourful figures, pictures, and even a “domino city” fell in the attempt. While some didn’t quite go down as planned, the crowd was ecstatic as the final dominoes tumbled to create a new world record of 4,079,381
Pretty interesting stuff, although I have to point out that this was done by a team of 90 builders. So if youre wondering who holds the solo record, you might be surprised to find that a woman by the name of Ma Lihua stacked up 303,628 dominos to create the solo world record. Apparently, she had problems with insects that toppled around 10,000 of her dominos but she still did it. BBC has the full story.

Recently I came across Click99.net and thought it was an interesting concept. If you need supplemental income then Click99 might be exactly what you are looking for. So, unlike the other websites where you have to wait till an advertiser finds your skills worthy, on Click99 the wait is over. You yourself are in control and have the right to decide what job you wish to apply for.
How do I benefit?
If you are a publisher or a blogger, you receive financial compensation for helping the advertiser send their message out to a broader audience. On the other hand, if you are an advertiser then by signing on to Click99 you actually open your doors to the entire readership of the blogs you select. What this means for the advertiser in turn is that they are able to get more potential customers and clients for their products or services.
Overall, its a great website that is easy on the eyes and very easy to navigate. The job postings are clear and concise and the concept of allowing bloggers and publishers to directly approach the advertisers is a definite hit! Wayne Rooney & Coleen McLoughlin Reviewed

There are a lot of “fan sites” out on the internet that follow the life of their favorite super stars but dont be fooled when you come around these two websites – namely Wayne Rooney’s Website and his sweetheart, Coleen Mcloughlin’s Website. Compared to most other fan sites the Wayne Rooney website is highly impressive. At first glance you realize that you havent stumbled upon just another teen designed fan site, but a fan community instead. Living in America, most may not know about Football (or Soccer as we call it here in the States), but in Europe, Soccer is one of the most important sports. When it comes to Soccer, aside from Beckham, the other shining star is Wayne Rooney. Being only 21 years of age and having the track record that would make the jaws drop of even the most experienced players, Wayne Rooney, has definitely shown that it isnt about how young you are, but how well you can play the game itself. The website itself is very well designed – the graphics are easy on the eyes and the navigation layout is quite easy to get a grip on. As far as the content, everything only has to deal with the person at hand – Wayne Rooney himself. For those who may not know as much about Wayne, they can actually view a timeline of his progression from a normal child born in Liverpool to an International Sports Superstar.
The website even features Wayne Rooney’s most recent book called “My Story”. The website covers everything from his career, to videos, press releases, interviews, mobile downloads, competition and even has a focus on the charities he is involved with – Claire House Children’s Hospice, SOS Children’s Village and Alder Hey. For those hardcore fans that need their monthly update on Wayne Rooney there is even a members section where they can register for free. Member registration opens the door for exclusive content such as more videos and exclusive interviews along with a monthly newsletter with all the latest information and news regarding Wayne Rooney.
Overall, the website is very well laid out and shows great potential. Other than the fact that it has already seen great success since its inception, the Wayne Rooney website is a definite hit amongst his fans and the fans of the soccer world. WiiGameCheats Reviewed!

Recently WiiGameCheats.com requested me to do a review of their website through ReviewMe. Although Wii Game Cheats doesn’t have much to do with the content of this website it is technology related and its one of the first Wii Cheat Websites that I have actually come across. The website is in a blog format and has a few different sections – Cheats, Videos and Guides. This is a little interesting because some of the other Cheat websites that I have come across in the past don’t really offer videos. Secondly what was really appealing to me was the fact that unlike most cheat websites, WiiGameCheats had no popup ads, although there are a few ads on the website – but hey, everyone needs a little advertising – but don’t get me wrong, the ads don’t interfere with the content in any way. Just like my blog, WiiGameCheats runs WordPress and I was liked the theme used and the layout of the content. The post descriptions are well written and the posts itself are easy to read and follow along.
Overall, WiiGameCheats is a comprehensive source of some of the latest Wii Games and offers everything from cheats to walk through guides and even videos. If you haven’t used cheats before then it’s still not a problem because the layout is simple and easy to navigate so you won’t feel lost. I recommend this website for anyone that needs Wii Game Cheats. The only suggestion I would make is that, content seems a little scarce right now but not to worry, as time passes on more things will get added, I’m sure. So do check it out and show it some support!
