New Contest! Over $700 In Prizes!

So guys, I know that the last contest hasn’t ended as yet but I will have the final results as soon as I get the updated stats from Dina over at Market Leverage but as soon as I have them, you will know the winner. As of now though, I have a new contest to announce! Yes, another new contest!

So here is how the contest works. What you have to do is submit videos and written affiliate marketing tips on my blog through the comments or by emailing me. For these tips, you’ll use Market Leverage as the example network. At the end of the month, when all the videos and tips have been submitted, I will personally view all of them and pick a winner.

The best tip will be chosen based on creativity, uniqueness and effectiveness. Each criteria that I use is weighted so that each of them is of equal importance. So, what does the winner get? Well, the winner gets their choice of a Flip Mino HD which is the new HD Flip Video Camera or they get a Blue Ipod Nano.

If that wasn’t enough, then theres MORE. Yes, MORE! There will be quite a few blogs running similar contests. What will then happen is that the winners from all the blogs will be judged by the blog owners that are running the contest. Based on that, the top three winners will then receive an Amazon Kindle, $100 Market Leverage Rewards Card & $50 iTunes Gift Card. Thats over $700 in prizes for a top winner!

Its really easy to enter. All you have to do is write up a nice affiliate marketing related tip or create a really great video with Market Leverage as the affiliate network of choice, and you’re entered. I’ll pick the winner and then the rest of the bloggers will decide the top winners. Easy enough?

What Blogging Format Is Preferred?

I visit different blogs time and time again and notice that they are all formatted in certain ways. I figured that there must be one way that is preferred over another but I never really figured out which was preferred by my readers and hopefully this post will help me find out. I mean usually I write posts in list format and I figured that since thats my style, that this post won’t be any different. So, lets take a look shall we?

1) List format - I usually write my posts in lists and I think it works just fine. I think its easier to skim through a post by looking at each portion of the list and getting the big picture. Sometimes I’m in a hurry and I know that many of you are too, so it helps me understand the entire post by quickly skimming the main points.

2) Paragraph format - Paragraph form posts are good too and are used quite often. This is when the post is written as if it was a memo or a short paper with separate paragraphs. This is actually not bad however the paragraphs need to be organized so that its easy to understand and flow with the rest of the content. Thats the only real downside to using paragraph format. Plus, if youre writing longer posts then seeing large paragraphs can be a turn off for some readers.

3) Link bait format - Linkbait format posts are not that common but some posts are basically written in order to attract traffic. This isn’t necessary bad but these are the type of posts that say something like “21 ways to Make Money Online” or “9 Social Networking To-Dos”. These posts are always interesting to see because it makes you wonder what 21 methods of making money online were picked or which 9 things can be beneficial for social networking.

4) Interesting Rambling Format - Now, this method isn’t necessarily bad. The key word here is INTERESTING. There are some people that have become really popular because of this blogging format. This is where a general theme or idea is conveyed with the help of interesting stories, examples and in basic dialogue. I attempt this format sometimes but its harder to do unless youre a natural conversationalist.

Market Leverage Contest Stats

So, after a little bit of a confusion, I finally have updated stats and hopefully I’ll be able to provide you with update stats more often now as the contest comes to a close but if you haven’t entered and would like to enter still, you have a chance. Just email me your publisher ID and I’ll add you to the list. Here is what the leader board looks like so far:

Theres obviously a clear lead with Publisher 2336 however, Publisher 2335 and 2334 are very close and this could be a close finish. Don’t take it lightly though, anything is possible in terms of who wins the contest because many of these contests have taken turns in the last few days. The grand total for the contest so far is $28,604.42 which is excellent!

I was waiting for the stats so I could put them up thats why there was a slight delay but I finally have them up. I look forward to updating them daily I’d hope but considering that Thanksgiving is coming, it depends on whether I’ll be able to since offices will be closed and all but we’ll see.

Either way, I hope you guys are impressed with the results. Just to let you know, there is another contest on its way so if you didn’t get to take part in this one, then don’t worry because you’ll have another chance!
