Top 100 Female Bloggers
I want to thank everyone who blogged about this list and wanted to say that I had to update the list a while ago because of the amount of emails I was receiving. I still want people to email me if they want to nominate someone or themselves onto this list.

Once again, you can nominate as many blogs as you’d like but before you do that please look over the list to make sure they aren’t already there. The list is updated with all the nominations received as of 4pm CST so your rankings may have changed from yesterday because about 20 more blogs were added. Thanks again everyone and for those who haven’t blogged about it, I’d really appreciate it if you dont mind doing so!

Criticisms About The List
Some of the criticism I have received is regarding the fact that this is solely to make money and there were a few people that seemed a little unhappy that I didn’t include their favorite female blogger so I wanted to address those concerns.

First of all, I had done the list last year and I was the first one to have made a list like this. At that time and in this go around, I have turned off the in-text ads as well as the Google Ads for that entire page so obviously my motive isn’t to make money. Considering that last list received over 100,000 page views, I didn’t monetize it for a reason.

Secondly, I’m sorry if your blog wasn’t included. There are a lot of blogs out there and 80% of the blogs on the list have been nominated by someone else. The idea that I want people to blog about this is to spread the word more and thereby include as many blogs on the list as I possibly can.

Nick’s Intelligent Post
Nick has a great post over at his blog, RomanDock, where he has given a twist to the very standard “This Week In Blogging“. I think thats a fantastic way to get readers to visit interesting posts without really knowing what website they are heading to.

Syed Balkhi Is Famous
Syed Balkhi from Balkhis.com was recently published in the Palm Beach Post and I think the story behind this 17 year old blogger is astounding. I am sure that after you read it you will be inspired to try and do what he has done at such a young age. Good Job Syed!

Female Blogger List Inspiration
Michael Kwan from Beyond The Rhetoric was inspired by my Top 100 List and has decided to do a post for the female bloggers that he has come across. I think its an interesting idea for a post and I congratulate him on coming forth and writing something of that sort. Thanks again Michael.

Thats all on my end. Once again, I hope you liked this update post and Congratulations to all the Female Bloggers that are part of the Top 100 List! Its a great honor and a very competitive and talented list of female bloggers too.

Hey, thanks for the mention and I’m glad you like how I did that. As I think about it after the fact, I should have masked all of the links with tinyurl :D .

I’m glad to hear your top female bloggers list is being successful and only hope it doesn’t become too much work to keep updated.

If you did the tinyurl thing, that would have made me even more curious! I think the female blogger list will probably not be too much work from now on and will require about 2/3 of the usual 8-10 hour time input. So thats good news!

Thanks for the mention. I try to do my best with the online business. Hopefully I inspire some more teenagers to be successful in the web industry.

Enkay,
I was so unhappy to read your response on my site that so many women were UNHAPPY that they didn’t make your “Top 100″ list. Though I dropped a few notches on the second list, it’s still nice to be there. I found your methodology quite realistic – and, indeed, the numbers should speak for themselves.
If you REALLY want to stir-up some controvery, start a list called “My Top 100 (or 50) FAVORITE Female Bloggers.” Take any motion of “science” out, and you will be getting FAR more negatives THAT way. People can question your methodology on the first list, but NOT your subjectivity on the second! Nonetheless, they will – in droves!

Rita
