After seeing what the Zune contest had done for Ms. Danielle’s blog site, I decided to host a contest myself (details below) and give away a 1GB Video Player. After putting up the contest, although there weren’t any entries as of yet, I realized that I wasn’t alone in having a contest on my blog and there are several others you have blogging contests going on as we speak and I wanted to bring those contests into the light too and thats why here is my list of the top 9 blog contests taking place currently.

1. Enkay’s Video Player Giveaway – Obviously, I will be a little biased towards myself and mention this to attract a little attention but hopefully you will consider entering! Now, onto the next 8.

2. Mr. Gary Lee’s iPhone Giveaway – Well, this definitely is going to turn out to be a hot contest. Mr. Gary Lee is is using his internet marketing skills and giving away a free iPhone to build traffic to his site. He has a few project sites such as BunkersParadise which is a site about golf equipment and PinkDeals.net which has a list of free online coupons. Its really simple to enter and even if it wasn’t I am sure that for an iPhone people will do whatever it takes, considering that there was an iPhone selling for almost $2,000 the other day!

3. BetShopBoy’s 7-7-7 Contest – Nothing is better than cold hard cash and thats what BetShopBoy is giving away in his most recent contest. The prize is quite unique, in celebration of 7/7/2007 he is giving one grand prize winner $77, and 6 others a consolation prize of $7 each. His blog talks about how you can earn income online and he has some really good content which will keep you glued once you visit his site. He is also in the same boat as I am, which was to purchase a domain name so hopefully that is going well for him. 5. Bloggrrl’s $50 Contest – Bloggrrl is having the easiest contest on the web. All you have to do is mention the contest and you are in! I really like her post about 9 essentials that a blogger must look into.

6. Blog-Contests $100 Contest – Blog Contests is a site about…well..blog contests and this contest ends in a few days so you have little time but its really easy to enter and the prize cant be better.

7. Brandon Hopkins iPod Shuffle Contest – Brandon Hopkins is giving away an iPod shuffle on August 1st. To enter just link to his post and to the sponsor site about free business cards and you can win.

8. Productivity501′s iPod Shuffle Contest – Here is yet another iPod Shuffle giveaway and this time its by Productivity501. They only have a few more spots open so check it out soon!

WhereIGolf.com’s $100 Gift Certificate – WhereIGolf.com is a golfing community blog and being a golf lover myself, it was hard to resist entering their $100 Dick’s Sporting Goods gift certificate contest. They have a Money Savers Club that has great deals on golf equipment and has discount golf clubs for sale. Their contest is easy to enter too!
