Top Commentators & Contests
I mentioned that I have an Apple iPod Nano to give away which I won over at StephenFung’s blog and I just wanted to say that the contest for that should be coming soon along with a surprise which is the reason why the contest is being held but today I have lots of other news for you. I have to mention my Top Commentators from July 2008 and I know I’m extremely delayed but here they are:

The Top Commentator on my blog receives a full website review and so you must be thinking, well why doesn’t Nick get a review? Its because he’s been the Top Commentator so often that I’ve given him a 125×125 ad in my sidebar instead of a review every month for being such a great contributor. He’s a great guy and hes got a very nice blog that I think you should check out.
Since I won the Flip Mino at Syed’s contest, we have become good blogging friends. I have talked to him quite a few times and after reading some of the posts at Syed’s blog, its no surprise why hes as successful as he is. He’s got experience and well detailed posts that are worth checking out.
I have known Abhijeet for a very long time and he’s actually one of the underdogs in the blogosphere. He makes a really nice amount of income from his blog and is always trying out new advertising mediums to make money. He’s got a great blog that is highly popular and he does really well so you should definitely stop by!
Andrea is new to the blogosphere so i’d like everyone to stop by and say hello. She’s a reader from Nick’s blog that drifted over one day and contributed to my blog so Thank you Andrea. I hope your blog does well and you should keep at it! Check it out guys.
Angad is also a new reader to the blog and I believe he drifted over from Balkhis’s blog after the contest. Angad has some really great content and offers some really well laid out posts. He just went through with a revamp of his sidebar and his blog is looking better than ever so you should check it out.

Now that I’ve mentioned by Top Commentators, I should remind you that by reaching the status of Top Commentator you get a free full site review so if you’re interested you should check it out. Now, lets move on to some contests that are currently ongoing.
DatMoney ML Contest – Jay over at DatMoney and iBlogtoBlog is giving away a Wii and theres several different ways to enter and earn entries. The contest ends by August 29th so theres still plenty of time.
Bloggears Contest – After I did my Bloggears Video Post, I would really like to see some of you post videos and enter or blog about it to enter the contest where $250 in cash is being given out. It ends by September 1st so check it out!

Aren’t you concerned that rewarding the top commenter will result in spam comments just to boost people’s comment count?
Sorry I did not read before posting the earlier comment. But Martin, most of the times you get very nice and loyal readers with such initiatives.
Though you would face some spamming for sure, but then you can always exclude them from giving the credit and later no one would try to do it if there is no gain.
Martin, I’ve always had the reward for the top commentator and I look through comments carefully to make sure that they aren’t just one word comments or comments that were meant to raise up the comment count but yeah it does affect it a bit but not too much.

I read almost all other top commentators here. Angad I recently came across from one of the comments, and I liked his writing.
Romandock, no doubt is very good in contributing to various blogs and his own blog too.

Thanks Nabil for reviewing Balkhis. I don’t try to be a top commentator. It is just that when I find something here. I always have something to say and that gets me in the top commentator

I definitely think that you need all of these tools to keep up with the current trend of the Internet. If you aren’t using any of these, I would highly recommend that you start because they are a huge part of what the Internet is becoming
