Weekly Roundup & Ask Me A Question!
I haven’t done by weekly round up in a while and I’ve been wanting to do it because I’ve come across some great articles so here are this week’s 5 interesting articles that I’ve come across:
1. The first one is from Jim over at TheNetFool where he lists 5 steps to success in “Bum Marketing”. I like lists and this list is no exception. Its a great post and I’ve learned a lot from his post and have even come back to re-read it a few times. You should definitely read it.
2. Syed from Balkhis talks about Linkbaiting Techniques and if you know me, then you know that I have had my share of linkbaiting techniques and contributions to the blogosphere. I like how he lays out ways that you can drive traffic to your blog, so if you’re looking for traffic (who isn’t) then this might help you out.
3. Joe from ImWithJoe talks about branding and its a major topic that I have mentioned several times in the past. Its about how people view you and remember you in the blogosphere. So branding is a key element in every blogs success and thats why one blog does better than the other. Great post and worth the read and the video is not shy of outstanding either.
4. Melvin from MelvinBlog talks about 7 tips before buying an ad spot on any website and I agree with Melvin on his tips. His first point about the ad design is hitting it right on the head. If your ad isn’t attractive, you’re not going to get your money’s worth. Check out his post for some great tips.
5. Last but not the least is Martin from MartyBugs and he has a great picture up that I really liked. Its a very well taken picture and it shows how wonderful nature looks when it is untouched. I really liked when Nick posted up pictures so its good to discover Martins photography blog.

So that was all for this Weeks Roundup but I have a new segment that I’ll try to do every week based on the questions I receive. I used to do this way back in the day but its time again to ask my readers if they have any questions for me. Hey Enkay, Great round up. I have been reading Jim [who has improved a lot since last year], Syed recently, Melvin and others are in my list as well – Good to see the links.
I have a question in mind – How would you value the blog? I can understand that the buyer would buy the static website and keep it continued but won’t it be difficult for any buyer to buy a blog and keep it updating. Would you suggest to build blogs or websites for site flipping?
